You Spoke & We Listened
A number of priorities have emerged for the future redevelopment of Bloor & Dufferin.
Over the last few months we have met with community members, City Staff and Councillor Bailão to learn more about your neighbourhood and reflect on the feedback received at the Bloor-Dufferin TDSB Lands Community Meeting held on June 20, 2016.
Meaningful Engagement
The community would like to engage in meaningful conversations around the future of Bloor & Dufferin.
Community Uses
Create an on-site community hub that provides services for the local and regional community, including a daycare.
Affordable Housing
Provide affordable housing units as part of the redevelopment.
Better Connections
Create new streets and mid-block connections that improve the permeability of the site and linkages to the surrounding neighbourhood.
Park & Green Space
Maximize green space and park space in the site design to complement existing community assets.
Space for the Arts
Provide a space for arts programming and to support local artists in the community.
Heritage Retention
Celebrate the heritage value of the site and where appropriate, consider repurposing heritage buildings.
Mix of Uses
Provide for a mix of uses including retail, housing, park and green space, arts and cultural programming, and community spaces.
