An Inspiring Artist Commons
Inspiration for the Artist Commons came from meetings with community members that took place early in the planning process. In the course of these meetings the project team was exposed to and inspired by the book ‘Dufferin Grove Park as a neighbourhood commons’.
The tradition is being carried on in our interpretation of this communal space. The Artist Commons is a potential series of artists’ spaces within the laneways that the community can inherit and continue to curate for generations to come.
